General Info on our Day of Healing
The spiritual leader called the Hugging Saint, Mata Amritanandamayi, affectionately known as Amma, is coming to the United States this summer. What better way to celebrate her imminent arrival than to declare a Day Of Healing, Sunday, May 1, 2011, in her honor.
The Day of Healing is an event that exemplifies one of Amma’s main teachings “love and serve”. It brings together a group of professional practitioners including licensed professionals in acupuncture, chiropractic and massage who are providing their services at discounted rates. This gives people an opportunity to try on new healing modalities and other wellness services that may previously have been financially prohibitive. All the practitioners have agreed to reduce their normal rates down to only $1/minute and donate their services to raise funds for AMMA's Upcoming North American Summer Tour 2011.
Be daring! Day Of Healing is your day! Think of it as a Celestial Spa Day!
Yoga, Afro-Cuban Dance, and Sound Healing classes will be ongoing from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Only $10 per class!
A fine assortment of vegan, raw and Indian cuisine is available at the event café, where transcendent music of exotic east meets west alchemy will be offered continually. Enjoy some of San Diego’s finest uplifting musicians; Neelima, Feed The Fire, and Sangeeta.
Browse through The Amma Shop bookstore and boutique. And don’t miss the talk, Food Waste To Resource; Composting In India, by Peter Ash, the environmentalist who brought Amma’s headquarters in India to zero waste. Come explore new pathways into your inner sanctum.
